EDIT: Leaving comments open for now, because I need some help with the artists description. (I lost the old one dammit). I'd appreciate your help to re-write this thing and add more reasons to disable comments because I lack time to do it myself.

It depends on the reason.

Hardly online

Don't care about comments

Too busy to read comments

Old work they don't care about anymore

Can't speak/read English

Don't want critique/praise (on old stuff for example)

Etc. etc.

The reason to close comments is different for everyone. So people who say that everyone who closes comments is a pussy or whatsover are just ignorant dickheads with usually malicious intentions.

green is good. Possible reasons I may use in the future.
red is bad. What someone might think.

They keep getting trolled, bitched, harassed, etc. because of what they say/have.

Their art is so good that they don't wanna waste their times with those "lesser" deviants who keep going "baw I wish I could draw like you!"

They are afraid there may a symbol of some sort in their art that could be missinterpereted and could spark up a whole controversy/dArama (Like, we did this thing in school for a play and we didn't even notice that a symbol on it looked kind of like a Swastica, but more like a happy version of the original one, until AFTER we painted it. I posted a picture of it but disabled comments to avoid a bunch of "wait iz dat a swastica wut r u a Nazi?" crap.)

Pfft, why would I want to waste my time reading a bunch of the same comment going "o good job good job!"

You're always on but, like me, can't seem to empty out your inbox so they need some time to focus on the 3,759 messages. Erm, that number's totally random and it's not the exact number of messages in my inbox

What if someone tries to give me a REQUEST or tries to tell me how to "improve"? HA! I'm so good I CAN'T improve! Haha!

Well, this picture's kinda sad, and I don't want anyone to wory about me . . . I'm fine!
